Tapered tank features exclusive low fuel trap design so most every gallon can be used, and is approximately only 2.5 in. deeper than the stock OEM tank. Tank hangs approximately only 1 in. below bottom of the stock fuel tank shield bracket (on vehicles so equipped). Very similar in appearance to original equipment tank. TITAN's Generation 6 tanks feature the TITAN Torque Ring(TM) OEM style sending unit mounting system for easy, positive installation. This new Ford tank is made of our famous military grade, cross-linked polymer (XLHDPE). It's at least ¼ in. thick and built to outlast all competitors. The Titan XXL tank also features minimal hang down below the bottom of the stock tank (approximately only 2.5" lower). Installation is a breeze - no fabrication or cutting required. The stock tank is only 26 gallons. Will not interfere with powered steps, air bag systems and most other accessories. However, our tanks are compatible with Fleece, AirDog, FASS, etc. This tank does NOT fit cab & chassis models. It is ONLY for use on trucks with traditional pick-up truck short beds.
